At the American Library Association's annual conference, Dubelman led a session on digital storytelling and modern memoir writing, using her anthology as a case study for combining traditional publishing with new media promotion.

Dubelman connected with book clubs across Los Angeles via Skype, hosting virtual Q&A sessions about the anthology. The digital format allowed for intimate discussions about relationship red flags and dating wisdom.

The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre hosted Dubelman for an evening of live storytelling, where audience members were invited to share their own dating disaster stories. Five brave participants received signed copies of the book.

Digital media pioneer Liz Dubelman launched her book tour at Barnes & Noble Union Square, showcasing her innovative approach by screening VidLit-style animations of selected stories from "What Was I Thinking?". The multimedia presentation drew laughs and knowing nods from the packed audience.
